Apple’s Vision framework, the thing people usually mean by “macOS Vision”, is a free, on-device computer vision library that ships with macOS. It has been around since 2017 and runs entirely on your Mac’s Neural Engine. There is no cloud component, so you need no API keys and pay nothing extra.
